100 Years of Rotary in Brantford

Rotarians are men and women of integrity who represent a cross-section of business and professional background. As volunteers of all ages, they work to meet community and international needs. Encouraging high ethical standards and respect for all worthy vocations has been a hallmark of Rotary from its earliest days.

In their business and professional lives, Rotarians abide by the Four Way test of Rotary:

Is it the truth?  Is it fair to all concerned?  Will it build goodwill and better friendships?  Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

Rotarians have many opportunities for huminatarian service, both locally and internationally. The following represents local charities that the Rotary Club of Brantford-Sunrise has given to, or committed to in our community.

ABOUT THE ROTARY CLUB OF BRANTFORD-SUNRISE

The Rotary Club of Brantford Sunrise has recently celebrated its 30th year!

The Rotary Club of Brantford – Sunrise was chartered in 1993. It was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Brantford to meet the membership growth of Rotary in Brantford as well as to offer an alternative meeting time throughout the week. The Rotary Club of Brantford – Sunrise adds fulfillment each year to the lives of local and foreign students through the Youth Exchange program. Students from our community go to live in a foreign country for a year while students from foreign countries come to experience our community and our Country.

The Rotary Club of Brantford-Sunrise raises monies through events such as the Gala Auction Dinner, Fish Fry, Canada Day and Trip-of-the Month Draw to support charities such as: Alzheimer Society of Brant, S.K.I.P. (Seniors and Kids Intergenerational Program), Kids Can Fly/Dolly Parton Library, Brantford Military Heritage Museum, Brantford General Hospital Foundation, St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre and the Adult Recreation Therapy Centre.
